Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-31

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for credits purchased on OpenCodex (the "Service").

We want you to be satisfied with the Service. This policy describes the situations in which refunds are available.

1. Prepaid Credits

The Service is sold as prepaid usage credits that are consumed when you make API requests. Because credits are consumed in real time as you use third-party model providers, consumed credits are generally non-refundable.

2. Eligibility for a Refund

You may request a refund of unused credits in the following situations:

  • You request a refund within 14 days of purchase and the purchased credits remain unused.
  • You were charged in error, charged more than once for the same purchase, or charged an incorrect amount.
  • A sustained service failure on our side prevented you from using the credits you purchased.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Credits that have already been consumed by API usage.
  • Charges resulting from your misuse of the Service or violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Promotional, bonus, or gifted credits that were not directly paid for.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email hello@opencodex.hk from the address associated with your account. Please include your account email, the approximate purchase date, and the reason for the request. We may ask for additional details to verify the purchase.

5. Processing Time

We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor. The time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer and is typically 5–10 business days after approval.

6. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.

7. Contact

Questions about refunds can be sent to hello@opencodex.hk.
